Sports Medicine Physicians are Family Physicians who have expertise in treating sports medical problems with particular emphasis on musculoskeletal conditions. Their knowledge allows proper diagnosis and management while understanding the many medical conditions that may be the cause and effect of such problems. Another important role of sports medicine physician is to promote preventative medicine and patient education. 

Resident Sports Medicine Physicians are available for third party assessment that are not covered under OHIP. For example: Assessments for insurance companies, WSIB, legal Firms, most commonly.
